This world can never satisfy our deepest longings, but if we choose to delight in God’s way, He will always provide above and beyond our expectations.

Beloved, I have got some good news for you! Hell was not prepared for you, nor for any other person on earth, but was created for Satan and his wicked angels. The Bible says in MATTHEW 25:41, “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” A person will spend eternity in the burning fires of Hell, which was created for Satan and his wicked angels, only if he chooses to be among those on the left hand of Jesus. Who are those on His left hand? “And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.” (MATTHEW 25:33). If you are among God’s sheep, you will spend eternity in Heaven, but if you are a goat, you will spend eternity in Hell.

Are you one of God’s sheep? I can hear you saying, “Yes, I am among God’s sheep because I go to Church every Sunday.” Going to Church on Sunday morning is a good habit, but it doesn’t make you God’s sheep any more than going to a garage makes you a mechanic! Jesus Christ said in JOHN 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” Do you hear the voice of Jesus and follow His commandments? Does Jesus know you? Jesus said in MATTHEW 7:23, “Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.” (NRSVA). If you are among evildoers, then Jesus does not know you. You are not among His sheep, and therefore hell is your portion. However, TODAY, you can be among His sheep and be assured of spending eternity in Heaven. Our God is immutable. He never changes (MALACHI 3:6; PSALMS 102:25-27; JAMES 1:17). God’s Word also never changes: ISAIAH 40:8, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.” (NKJV). Some people in this ever changing world, say that times are changing and Christians need to change with them rather than clinging to the details of the multi-centuries year old Bible. NO, NEVER! God’s Word is not bound by time. Do not be deceived, the Bible is as relevant today as it was two thousand years ago. If we want to make it to Heaven, we must hold on to the minute details of the never changing Word of God. May God help us all!
Behavioral standards in Christianity, are very high. Jesus Christ says in MATTHEW 5:48, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." High Christian standards are related to all facets of Christian life: "But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." (1PETER 1:15-16). When some people learn of these high Christian life standards, they give up and say, "It is impossible to live the Christian life in this present world."

It is important to know that we can't live a Christian life using our own strength. When we rely on our own strength we are helpless, spiritually impotent and fruitless; we are like a branch cut off from the vine, if we try to live a lone life even as Christians. Jesus Christ said in JOHN 15:4-5, "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

God knows we can't live up to His standards, that's why God sent us his Son, so His standards could be lived out through Jesus Christ. Christ must be the one who lives the Christian life in us. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (PHILIPPIANS 4:13). "But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." By relying on "Christ in us", we find the strength to do what we could never accomplish with our own power. Beloved, you can live a victorious Christian life and become more than a conqueror, if you rely on Jesus Christ. "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (ROMANS 8:37). May this Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path!

Preparation for greatness…



"He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze." - 2 Samuel 22:35 David was a mighty warrior, and God described him as a man after His own heart. God took David through a training ground that could be looked on as cruel and unusual punishment by many a person. God chose him at a young age to be the next king, yet King Saul rejected him and hunted him down. David was a fugitive for many years. He had uprisings in his own family, and he had relationship problems. He had a life of extreme ups and downs. He certainly did not have a life free of problems; he made mistakes. He was human like all of us, yet he learned from his mistakes and repented when he failed. This was David's training ground; it made the man. Without these hardships, it is doubtful David would have accomplished what he did.
Toward the end of David's life, he recounted his relationship with God. It is a sermon on God's ways of dealing with a servant leader.
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; He enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me Your shield of victory; You stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn (2 Samuel 22:33-37).
God was David's source for everything. God gave him the ability to achieve the many extraordinary things in his life. It was a lifelong training ground that moved him from one plateau to another, often dropping into a ravine of despair and hopelessness from time to time. These are God's ways. They drive us deeper and deeper into the heart of Him who has prepared a way for us. Let God take you to the heights or depths He desires for you. He never promised smooth sailing during the trip, but He did promise to be the captain and companion along the way.

True Story:

For years Sergis ran his small retail business from his store in a local shopping center. Every week a visitor would drop by to collect a percentage of his sales. The visitor wasn't his landlord; the mafia had taken control of business in his small country.
Through the ministry of a workplace Christian, Sergis came to faith in Christ, and God began a deep work in his life. One day Sergis decided he could no longer give God's money to the mafia.
A few days later his "friends" paid him a visit. They kidnapped him, blindfolded him, and placed him in a jail cell located in the middle of a mafia-controlled house. During the night Sergis sat in the jail cell discouraged. Two locked doors with guards separated Sergis from his freedom. Suddenly, in the middle of the night Sergis awoke to a voice: "Sergis, get up. Follow me." Sergis awakened to a real, in the flesh, angel of God sent to deliver him. The angel opened the doors while the guards remained asleep. Sergis and the angel walked quietly past the guards to freedom. Sergis immediately went to his Christian brothers to share the miracle that had just taken place.
This true story is living proof that we serve a God who still does miracles on behalf of His servants. Ask God for the miracle you need today.
"Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13b-14
Our past can be a hindrance or a help in moving toward God's purposes for each of us. For some, the past has meant pain and heartache, and grace is required so that we do not let our past dictate our responses to the future. If we allow our past to make us a victim, then we have not entered into the grace that God has for us. If we live on memories of past successes and fail to raise our vision for new things, we again are victims of our past.
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland" (Is. 43:19). Our past should only be viewed for what we can learn from it. We must move forward and avoid viewing the negative or the positive for more than what we can learn. Many have allowed their past to dictate their future. God is always about doing new things in our lives. He gives fresh revelation of His purposes in our lives. Do not live in the past. Do not hold onto bitterness that may hinder God from doing new and exciting things in your life. He turns our wastelands into streams of water to give life, not death.
How have you viewed your past? Has it hindered you in some areas of your life? Have you relied on past successes to dictate what you will do in the future? Put aside such thoughts and allow God to do a new thing in your life. Ask Him to help you see the new things He wants to do in and through you today.

For Moses, it was the burning bush.
For Peter, it was walking on water.
For Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, it was walking through the burning furnace untouched.
For Paul, it was being blinded and spoken to by Jesus on the Damascus road. For Daniel, it was deliverance from the lions' den.
For Joshua, it was parting the Jordan River and crossing into the Promised Land.
There have been many defining moments in the lives of human beings that changed their lives forever. These defining moments often set the course for the balance of their lives.
We could go on and on. Each of these servants had years of preparation leading up to their defining moment. These moments forced the servants to be involved in something beyond their human experiences. It took them outside their own paradigms of life. God had to move them outside their own boxes. And when He did, their lives were never the same.
You may be in one of three stages of life: You may not have had your "defining moment" yet - God may be preparing you with many important life experiences. You may have had your defining moment and you are living out your call. Or, you may be toward the end of your journey and you have already experienced what I speak of. We are all called to a relationship with God; and we are all called vocationally, which is often ushered in by a defining moment. And there can be more than one defining moment, each pointing you down a path that God foreordained from the foundation of the world. The secret of a great life is often a man's ability to discern the defining moments given to him, understanding them, and learning to walk in the path that leads him to his ultimate destination.
Once you have had a defining moment, you are never the same. Pray that you have eyes to see and ears to hear when your Master brings a defining moment into your life

I’d love to tell you that if you stay in faith, if you believe, then God will always answer your prayer within 24 hours, or at least within the first week. But we know that’s not reality. God promises He will be true to His word, but He never puts a timeframe on it. In fact, He tells us that we need patience to see the promises come to pass. Sure, it would be a lot easier if God told us when we were going to get well, when we would meet the right person, or when our child would straighten up. But the truth is, that wouldn’t take any faith. It takes faith to say, “God, I don’t know when You are going to do it, but I trust You enough to believe that You will do it, that the answer is already in my future.”

Today and every day let this be your prayer: “God, give me the grace to accept Your timing.” That means you’re asking for God’s strength, His supernatural empowerment to stand strong while you are waiting. Choose to keep believing, choose to praise Him, and choose to accept His timing knowing that He is faithful and has untold blessings in store for your future!

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
In the original Hebrew, the word “spirit” in today’s verse literally means “breath.” This scripture is saying that the breakthroughs that are coming in our lives are not going to happen just by our talent, our connections or who we know. It’s going to happen because God breathes in our direction. God will shift the winds that blow healing, promotion and restoration our way.

How are you going to get well? The medical report may say it’s impossible. But when God breathes on you, health, wholeness and restoration are headed toward you. How are you going to accomplish your dreams? You may not know the right people or have enough money or feel like you have the talent. No, God is breathing and sending ideas, resources and the right connections your direction. If you will stay faithful and keep honoring and obeying God, then suddenly things will change. Suddenly, you will come into abundance. Suddenly, your child will turn around. Suddenly, you will get well. Suddenly, the breath of God will shift things in every area of your life!

Salvation is bigger than what you feel. It covers all time and eternity and all circumstances for all who call on the name of the Lord (Romans 10,13). Jesus is the barrier against the wicked tide of Satan. His name means salvation. “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10, NIV) The power of God released at Calvary is unimaginable. We get our original ideas of salvation from the book of Exodus and the account of God delivering Israel out of Egypt. It displayed one tremendous feature: God’s limitless power. We read how the bars of bondage were broken, the might of the Egyptian military machine reduced to nothing, and Pharaoh was let helpless on his imperial throne, mocked by runaway slaves. Shelter in Jesus Christ and His shadow conceals us from every prowling foe. He says “Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, I will give you rest.”.

"Woe to the obstinate children," declares the Lord, "to those who carry out plans that are not Mine, forming an alliance, but not by My Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; who go down to Egypt without consulting Me; who look for help to Pharaoh's protection, to Egypt's shade for refuge." Isaiah 30:1-2 
Have you ever entered a business relationship with someone you knew you were not supposed to? Throughout the history of Israel, the people were called to come out of an old way of life. Egypt represented that old way; when things got tough, the Israelites reverted to what was comfortable. They always knew they could take a trip to Egypt and find what they lacked. Perhaps this was their reasoning: "If we can't get it accomplished under the new way, why not go back to the way we used to do it? At least we know we can get it there."
When God calls us into a walk of faith, we can expect to be tested in this walk. If we enter into alliances that God has not ordained, it will only bring heartache. Such was the case for Israel. "But Pharaoh's protection will be to your shame, Egypt's shade will bring you disgrace" (Is. 30:3).
Beware what you perceive as an alliance that may advance your business. It may actually bring you great distress if God has not directed you to align it. Ask yourself what the motive is behind this possible alliance. Make sure that it is not based on fear or a quick fix. Get confirmation that God is leading you to make such an alliance. Then you will not end up in the way of Israel, experiencing shame and disgrace.

Zechariah 4:16

..."Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 4:6 
God's people should be the most positive, joyful people on earth. This joy should be a by-product of a healthy, intimate relationship with Jesus. In today's business climate, we are barraged with every possible means of becoming more productive workplace believers. Positive thinking and self-help philosophy are promoted as tools for workplace believers to fulfill their potential and overcome the mountains in their lives. God calls each of us to be visionary leaders, but we must be careful that vision is born out of His Spirit, not the latest self-help program. These ideas lead us away from dependence on God to a self-based psychology designed to give us more power, prosperity, and significance.
The result is heresy. Our faith in God becomes faith in faith. It is born out of hard work and diligence rather than obedience to God's Spirit. The problem lies in that these philosophies sound good, and can even be supported by Bible verses. Beware of anything that puts the burden of performance on you rather than God. There are times in our lives when God doesn't want us to climb every mountain. Sometimes He wants us to go around. Knowing the difference is the key to being a man or woman led by the Spirit.
Jacob had a breakthrough-experience with God. It not only established a new relationship with God but it changed his very name to Isra-el. Gideon, a frustrated farmer, and another doubter stepped out in boldness relying on God, with benefits to the nation. Long afterwards, on the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus met seven downhearted disciples, re-charged their faith batteries and set them going to change the whole world. In Ephesians 1, Paul prays for the believers to experience a breakthrough to see what is the ‘exceeding greatness’ open to them. These people took a chance on God. They were not always believers, but they said “I will trust God”. They took a small step which proved to be a giant stride into a new way of life for them and even for generations to come. I say “took a chance”, but it was only in the way a man takes a chance on his wife at some special time. He knows her and is sure of her. He exhibits a trust in her that could give her real pleasure. And “without faith it is impossible to please God”. That is the kind of “chance” faith takes. Millions live like that today. “The just shall live by faith”. Faith involves taking a chance, or it wouldn’t be faith. It is confident anticipation based on the knowledge of what God is. Peter knew what Jesus was like and obeyed Him to walk on the water. Faith is to act on the strength what we know, expecting God to be to us what we know He is. When we “risk” everything on God, He proves to be faithful. Today. God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE
